Snowdrop is usually the first flower to bloom here in the Netherlands and, in general, in the whole Europe. It blooms from mid to late February, depending on the year. It anticipates all the other flowers and it give the signal that Winter is nearly over.
It's a perennial plant that can be propagated easily by bulbs. Every year approximatively 20 millions of tons of bulbs are exported from Turkey and Georgia to worldwide.
Snowdrops can easily naturalize in your garden creating impressive carpets of flowers during the months of February and March.
